One of the best things you can do for your skin is adapt a natural facial skin care routine, which will not only help you effectively fight acne and other skin problems, but it will improve and restore a more youthful, vibrant appearance in your skin. Read on to find out some of the best tips and methods for going au natural.
Switching to products that contain natural ingredients is the single most important thing when it comes to switching over to natural facial skin care. There are several great companies that manufacture organic products specifically designed for skin care, such as Shea Terra Organics. All of their products are completely natural and free of artificial fragrances, SLS and Parabens. Some of their more popular products include their alcohol-free Moroccan Rose Water Toner, their Tamanu and Licorice Clarifying Face Wash and their Argan and Desert Date Ultra-Moisturizing Face Creme.
Shea Terra uses all-natural ingredients which are the key reason why their products work so well for skin as part of a natural facial skin care routine. Argan oil contains the anti-oxidant Vitamin E, and helps to moisturize and heal skin. Tamanu is an anti-inflammatory that soothes the skin and effectively treats acne and eczema. These various ingredients among others are all important contributing factors to a good cleansing and maintenance routine for skin.
Another company that manufactures an extensive line of natural facial skin care products is Shea Moisture, which has organic bath, body and hair products. One of their best-selling natural products is their African Black Soap collection, which includes bar soap, facial cleanser and a masque. African black soap, which is harvested from dried plantain skins, palm leaves and shea butter, has many benefits. It is rich in Vitamin E and A, and contains antibacterial properties that aid in the prevention of acne and blemishes. The black soap penetrates the skin to extract impurities, and helps prevent excessive oil production that is responsible for acne. African black soap is also known to help heal the skin, and provide relief for individuals that suffer from other conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Interesting. Since facials are ridiculously expensive, I give myself facials every week or two depending on my skin sensitivity. I only make homemade scrubs (like lemon sugar scrub or for bad acne a cinnmamon-nutmeg-honey scrub) and masks (egg, olive oil,etc.). So far they've worked like a charm!
