The Japanese crooked teeth trend is nothing new. Young women pay good money to have dentists ruin their smiles by gluing in fake crooked teeth their mouths. The procedure, called "Tsuke-Yaeba" can cost upwards of $300, and aims to appeal to people who are into the whole nerd chic thing -- think of it as sort of the next step up from a gap tooth or a cute girl with glasses. Now the Tsuke-Yaeba trend has its own band. They're called TYB48, and they're a gaggle of cute-as-pie girls with crooked teeth who've put out a CD to promote the work of a particular dental salon.
