Asian Makeup: How to Combat Straight EyelashesWhether you are Asian, Eastern European, or simply have lashes that refuse to curl — these tips will change your life |
Tip 1: Curl your lashes every day It may sound crazy, but Babaian says with daily use of the curler, "you can actually train your lashes to curl." Initially, lashes are more resistant to curling, so you may have to hold down on the curler longer for the first few weeks. But she says eventually they will learn and you'll see a difference, so don't be discouraged after the first few times and continue to curl dutifully.

Thank you so much for this! For years, I thought I was a freak because one eye would crease after curling my eyelashes! It's good to know that this is common with monolids :)

I've also noticed that a mascara with a drier or 'tubing' formula works wonders with these tips, such that my lashes don't start drooping immediately when I apply because of a wet formula!
