Touch of Ombre For subtle ombre nails, take the polish of your choice (in this case lavender) and apply a few drops on a paper plate. Next to the drop of lavender polish, place a few drops of white nail polish. Use a toothpick or orange stick to swirl the colors together where they meet along the edges. Next, take a wedge sponge and soak up a little of the polish and dab over your nails. If you want to keep the spongy texture, let the polish dry and follow by a topcoat. But if you want this smoother look, apply your topcoat right away letting it blend the colors even more as you stroke the brush upward.
