  • Run (don't walk) to your nearest Macy's -- they're giving away FREE beauty products!

  • Because we're all FREE obsessed (especially in this crappy economy) -- we had to share: For the next six days only, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales are giving away beauty products because of a lawsuit settlement. (This is for real!) While supplies last, you can get free stuff from Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder (you can read reviews of their products here), Clinique (see this list of their best and worst goodies) and Lancome (yes, they are giving away mascara -- see every beauty editor's fave here).

  • Did anyone score the freebies yet?

  • Get other free stuff here

  • Avoid crowds and still save a buck with these cheapie products

    • I didn\'t go. I sell Avon, so I don\'t use any of these products. Even if I did use them, the crowd wouldn\'t be worth the hassle. I\'m happy for any of those who got some good stuff though.

    • I went to the Breal mall, Macy\'s and Nordstroms there on Tuesday because I had business there. The wait at both stores was about 2 hours! The people were snaking around coming from everywhere, not worth the wait. On Wednesday I had to go again hoping it would be less, but boy was I mistaken. I heard from my neighbor that her friend went in line 8 times and got \"her\" stuff, how totally inconsiderate! They should have figured out a different way of dispensing the freebees.

    • Nordstroms had it, Niemans had it. I was signed up as part of the court case years ago and got a postcard about it awhile back. Been so busy forgot all about it :(

    • I went to my nearest macy\'s yesterday afternoon (rite after work), thinking that they would still have some products because they kept saying it would last 6 days! Little to my surprise everything was GONE! I went back home bumbed out. It would have been a better way of going if they had asked people for receipts....the products would have actually lasted another day.

    • I think they should have allowed those in the claim to get something free first. Simply by bringing in something they could send us via email. To top it off they did not even have system to ensure people did not get greedy. This was simply a way for them to get past this long drug out settlement.

    • It is just too sad to read these comments. Some of you apparently took true advantage of the offer for freebies, while others made the trek for nothing thanks to the first group of you! I was always taught that when you are offered a treat from a box of chocolates you take only ONE, leaving the rest for others to enjoy. This reminds me of the pre-holiday rush that trampled a man to death at a discount store...have we all become so greedy that we are willing to literally or figuratively stamp on our fellow man (or woman) to get what we want? Sad, Sad, Sad

    • I read with interest about the people that went all over to get 5 or more products. What greed! It\'s because of people like you that people like me were left with little or nothing to choose from when we got off work in the afternoon. Shame on you!

    • I got some free loot at Norstroms and Macy\'s in Burlington MA on Tues. I went back to Nordstroms last night and the freebee\'s were all gone, but Macy\'s had very little left.

    • Yes, I too feel it wasn\'t really a fair way to distribute the products. If they would have made you bring receipts, I would have fared much better. Not really fair that people who never ever spend a dime at the Department Store Cosmetic Counters get to reap the benefit of this lawsuit. Oh, well...

    • After I read here, I went to Macy\'s and they still had 3 products: the clinique one (moisture surge), estee lauder\'s advanced night repair and one from clarins. No line, no wait. I wonder if somebody really went to Sak\'s because I want to try over there tomorrow in the morning.
