Good stuff!

by Lola75 (4 reviews)
I really like this shampoo. It does not have any of the harsh detergent-like cleansers that most shampoos have. Because of this, it does not lather like other shampoos and the first time you use it you may wonder if it is working -- it is. It is not very moisturizing, so if you have dry hair, you might want to alternate this with a moisturizing formula.11/01/2007

April 24, 2008, 1:48 pm I came to try Burt's Bees after developing adverse skin reactions to my old shampoo. I'm allergic to hydrolyzed wheat protein which is found in a number of volumizing shampoos. About the same time I also decided to cut out parabens and sulfates (no, I'm not high maintenance at all)! And of course, I wanted my new products to still perform just as well as the ones I'd been using. It doesn't lather as much as shampoos with sulfates but once you see how well it performs you don't mind. You can definitely feel that your hair seems thicker after shampooing. I don't even look at other shampoos anymore (and I'm a total product junkie). I'm probably on my 7th or 8th bottle which is unprecendented product loyalty for me. April 24, 2008, 1:48 pm

    Smells Really Nice

April 22, 2008, 5:17 pm I really like the smell of this shampoo and the Pomegranate and Soy conditioner. I couldn't stop smelling my hair for the first few days after I switched to this. However, I found that it was really hard to get a brush though my hair after a shower(that's fine - I should've been using a wide-tooth comb anyway, and that does seem to have helped), and I haven't noticed much of a difference in volume (I have some, but not tons, naturally). It cleans pretty well (but don't expect much of a lather), and my hair doesn't get oily by the end of the day - I'm a daily washer, so I don't know if you could go longer. All in all, a good shampoo (and conditioner) for hair that's generally pretty managable. April 22, 2008, 5:17 pm

    It's okay, but....

I'm not sure I'll buy again. I got this after reading that these shampoos are SLS-free (sodium lauryl sulfate). November 17, 2007, 6:37 am I'm not sure I'll buy again. I got this after reading that these shampoos are SLS-free (sodium lauryl sulfate). I had read somewhere that SLS's may cause color treatments to not last as long, and I thought, "Okay, I'll bite." I love my color and want to keep it as nice as possible for as long as I can. Burt's Bees has a color-treated shampoo, but I chose this particular one for the volumizing effect. I have very thick hair, it also tends to be somewhat flat without a little help. After about a month of use, I'm still not sure I'll ever buy again. It smells great, and it has made my hair a little less flat. But the lack of SLS definitely means far less lather. I don't normally shampoo twice with "regular" shampoos, and I do with this, just to be safe. One thing I have noticed is that it seems there's an awful lot of loose hair coming out whenever I rinse. It freaks me out a little, to be honest. Maybe it's happening with the more lathery shampoos too but I just don't notice it because of all the suds. On the whole, it's not bad but I don't know that it's the right shampoo for me. November 17, 2007, 6:37 am

It makes hair soft, supple, shiny and very clean feeling. I didn't find it to be especially volumizing, but my hair was, in fact, very manageable. It's a very healthy shampoo for a moderate price. made my hair frizzy

    by Ladiabla (20 reviews)
I had to tighten my belt last summer and skimped out on using my Aveda and went with Burt's Bees. This shampoo managed in two washings to make my hair look like it was dry, fried, frizzy and over processed when I didn't even have any color on it. I was really disappointed as I am a huge Burt's Bess fan. June 17, 2008, 6:46 pm

    Amazing

    by OddlyPepper (2 reviews)
My favorite shampoo I've had to date. It volumized without making my hair frizzy or fluffy, gave it a really nice shine plus, smells wonderful! It's also really helped with kinks in the morning, so great if you're in a hurry! January 16, 2008, 3:10 pm

    Great Shampoo

    by Growl00 (3 reviews)
I have hair that if I wash it everyday it dries out, but if I don't it gets greasy. This Shampoo is gentle enough for me to use everyday without drying my hair out, but I can skip a day and be fine. It pumps up the volume and smells GREAT! December 1, 2007, 5:58 pm

    Very Volumizing! Very True!

    by beccagirl6 (6 reviews)
I have thin hair which always gets weighed down by "moisturizing" shampoos. Burt's Bees has made this amazing shampoo which not only makes my hair feel moisturized but gives it plenty of volume. I also recommend Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Conditioner, Pomegranate and Soy. November 29, 2007, 9:09 pm

    It Volumizes

    by BargainHunter (11 reviews)
I use this mainly because its natural and doesn't have the SLS in it along with the other harmful ingredients. It does what it says in the volumizing department. I also like the smell. I find if you wash your hair twice the second time makes good lather. November 28, 2007, 10:21 am
