Infusium Repair and Renew Leave-In Treatment by Infusium, Conditioner Review

HORRIBLE

I don't think that Total Beauty gives enough space for me to write how unbelievably horrible this product was. My hair was down past my shoulders and healthy when I first bought it, falling gullible to their claims that it would make my hair even more conditioned than it was before. I especially thought it would be a good product for me because it was Summer and I was going to the beach and the pool a lot and wanted to protect my hair from the sun, chlorine and salt. Little by little, week after week, my hair began to harden, break and fall off. It became stiff and hard. It got so bad that I couldn't even comb it. Even on days I didn't use it and tried to wash and dry and style my hair, my hair would frizz up so horrible that I couldn't believe it. Finally, I found out that because this product has so much harmful protein in it that it will damage your hair beyond repair, and that was just the result I got. Even for weeks after I completely stopped using this, my hair continued to break and fray. This product literally ate through my beautiful hair until I finally just had to surrender and cut it off. I cut off about 4 inches of my once-beautiful hair, and I have never been so angry about a product in my life. I don't know how or why they continue to make it this way, but it absolutely ruined my hair and caused me significant hair loss and heartbreak. It took me months before the ruinous effects of this product were gone from my hair and I was seeing its condition begin to turn back around. Please don't use this if you value your hair.

I'm not quite sure what all the hype is about this product! It smells good, nice clean smell. But once I used it, I was disapointed. The first time I used it, I used a dif brand shampoo and conditioner, but was very disapointed. I then (silly me) went out, and purchased the matching Infusium shampoo and conditioner. On a side note, the shampoo was not that bad, but the conditioner was not good at ...read moreall. Anyway, even after I used it with the matching products my hair still felt like straw. I have really thick/curly/coarse hair, but I have tried other products that can handle it. I used it one last time; with dif shampoo/conditioner, and also with additional styling products. But, I was still disapointed with it. My hair (after the third try) felt good, and seemed healthy and softer, but again I had to use additional products to style it. And, if I have to use all the additional products it makes the leave-in not worth it to purchase (and it's also additional time and money lost). So, in this case I would not recommend this product to anyone.
