Not many people know about African black soap acne treatments, which are extremely popular in other countries and have proved to be quite effective for clearing up skin. African black soap is a lot different from the soaps that you find on the shelves of drug store. Not only is black soap softer but it also has an earthy scent and texture. Hence the name, African black soap is made from plant ashes found in Africa and offers numerous benefits. Black soap acne treatments use only natural ingredients, including the leaves and bark from palm trees, plantains and cocoa pods, with coconut oil and palm oil as well. Black soap contains iron, vitamin A and vitamin E and is the only soap in the world made without lye. Some people even use it to treat acne scars. Read

The benefits of black soap acne treatments are extensive. Black soap removes excess oils from the skin and helps with skin irritations such as razor burn, eczema and other skin rashes. Some people even use black soap as a shampoo, but it is most commonly used to treat acne by clearing oils from the skin. It can also decrease the effects of a breakout by soothing skin irritations. Another bonus of black soap is that it offers partial UV protection due to its shea tree ingredients. Want more on acne relief? Check out

I like African Black Soap (I used a couple, really liked Shea Moisture's). Unfortunately, it dries my skin out (and I have oily skin!). So as long as I have a heavier face lotion/cream, I can continue to use it. It cleared up my acne and helped fade the hyperpigmentation.
