Losing weight can be difficult, which is why it's
so much easier to do it with a buddy. Especially if that buddy is your significant other. Colorado couple Jessica and Robert Foster know what we're talking about. Together they lost more than 280 pounds.
That's more than a whole person between them!
Robert Foster had always been heavy (he jokingly owned a tee that said "I bit anorexia") and said that he got fed up with being too overweight to care for his four young girls. Jessica said she was motivated to lose weight after a family member said that "she used to be something to look at. Not anymore." How
rude.

Once the couple decided to get healthy the weight started coming off fast. Jessica started with Zumba classes and Robert took on tennis. They both started eating less. The pair began training for a 5-kilometer race together in December of 2012 and that motivated Robert to really push his exercise regimen into overdrive. And they got way better at eating healthy, too. One of their favorite tricks: Shopping only at the perimeter aisles at the grocery store, where all the fresh fruit and veggies and meats are.
So far, Rob's lost more than 160 pounds, and Jessica's dropped from a size 24 to a size 10. And the way they feel about themselves? Jessica says that's the best thing that's changed. "I love myself. I like what I'm seeing in the mirror. I know there's some work to still be done, but I'm such a different person than I was before." [
