Jennifer Hudson knows how to belt out a song. She knows how to work her way around a movie set. And, the former "American Idol" certainly knows a thing or two about knocking them dead on the red carpet.
It was the former that had tongues wagging -- and heads turning -- on Saturday night at the "Black Girls Rock" event in New Jersey.
And boy did she.
Debuting a brand new hairstyle -- courtesy of stylist to the stars Cesar Ramirez, 32 year-old Hudson walked the red carpet in a figure flattering LBD, sky-high black boots and a perfectly complementary makeup look.
5 Ways to Update Makeup for a Pixie Cut
On hand to perform at a BET performance that's set to air on November 3, Hudson seemed to have been toying with the idea of going short since having shown off less length at August's MTV "Video Music Awards" (not that anyone took notice of anything other than a certain nekkid mouse with a foam finger that night).
Of his new style for one of his favorite Clients, Ramirez took to Twitter to shout out his approval, saying, "My latest creation the #PixyCut on #JeniferHudson #newdo #werq #haircut #fashion #style #BlackGirlsrock #BET."
I'm loving this style on her -- she certainly has a pretty enough face to pull off such a striking look and I think a change, will do her good.
What say you? Perfect pixie or miss the longer hair?
