After successful collaborations with the likes of KKW Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills, celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is starting a makeup brand all his own, according to WWD.

He's still in the early stages and is currently working with labs to develop product. He hasn't yet paired up with a business partner, so the launch date is still just a glimmer on the horizon — but it's definitely something to start getting excited about.

It's almost surprising that he hasn't struck out on his own yet, especially in this age of the celebrity makeup line, but Dedivanovic chalks it up to waiting for just the right opportunity, as well as racking up the prerequisite years (almost 20, in his case) of experience. He's even walked away from "gazillions of dollars" on multiple occasions, as he said to WWD.

"I like the old-fashioned way of struggling, paying your dues and slowly reaching a little bit of success, a little bit at a time. With the makeup line, it's the same thing. I'm not in a rush," he explained.

He's also cognizant of entering a market that at times can feel oversaturated: "It's overwhelming even for me as a professional. Even if there's really good stuff coming out, it's probably overshadowed and you don't even see it or notice it because of all the stuff that's coming out. I'm totally OK waiting a little bit."

We're certainly willing to wait as long as he wants us to — especially if he's creating products like the arresting cobalt blue in his KKW x Mario 10 Pan Eyeshadow Palette, $45, or the buttery shimmery neutrals like he had in the (sadly discontinued) Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario.
