It's hard to forget the train wreck that was Lindsay Lohan's portrayal of Elizabeth Talyor in her failed Lifetime comeback, "Liz and Dick." But the BBC is giving it a go this time around, and their made-for-TV biopic on the film icon actually looks promising.
Why? Helena Bonham Carter. The first promotional shot for BBC America's TV movie "Burton and Taylor," featuring Carter and Dominic West (as Richard Burton), is making its rounds -- and we're sold.

The TV film will be set in 1983 and focus on the iconic couple's relationship during their appearance in the revival of the play "Private Lives." It won't have all the usual fixings of a film starring Carter (Johnny Depp as a co-star/love interest, Tim Burton as the director) but Carter's pink pout and smoky eye has us thinking we're in store for a real treat this fall.
What do you think? Does Carter make a convincing Taylor?
