That sound you hear is me doing a little happy dance. A happy dance that the teenybopper shades of yester-seasons have been replaced (for the most part) with downright adult colors -- deeply hued jewel tones, yummy berries and, believe it or not -- white.

Yes, white (which some women wore on their nails over the summer) as an
eye shadow hue has been very hot on numerous runways these past 7 days of New York Fashion Week. Christian Siriano, Kate Spade and Tibi were among those showcasing the color -- and, boy did it pop. Not only that, but makeup clairvoyant/YouTube sensation/now-creator-of-her-own-line,
Michelle Phan, includes a white liner in her new EM collection, as does the newly
re-launched jane cosmetics line as well as Sephora, which can't keep it's red-hot Pure White Nano Eyeliner in stock.

But now it's all about the texture (glossy or matte?) and the application (traditional or deliberately messy?) of your lip color. And, the best part about it? Try one and don't like it. Wipe it off and start again. A lot easier than switching out your eyeliner halfway through.
