Judging by the results of a survey conducted by the footwear e-tailer Shoebuy.com, Carrie Bradshaw's seemingly over-the-top love affair with her Manolos and Loubs wasn't something myths -- and HBO series -- are made of. Real women apparently get -- you'll excuse me -- a hard-on for shoes, too. In a poll of of 1,000 women ages 35-44, one in five women admit to being more turned on by their shoes than by their lover.

But that's not where their dirty little secrets end. Fifty percent are willing to lie to their spouse about how much they paid for shoes; another 50 percent freely admit to judging people by their footwear; and one in four categorically refuse to remove their heels regardless of how badly their feet hurt.
