Tanwise is made for Sally Beauty, and you can find it in stores or through the retailer's website. Tanwise offers a number of at-home tanning products with prices ranging from about $6 to $15.
Dark Bronzing Sunless Mousse
The Dark Bronzing Sunless Mousse, $14.69, is designed to give you a very, very deep tan. It provides an immediate golden glow, but it is also designed to add additional darkness and depth as the product develops over time. You'll need to leave it on without showering for at least eight hours so that it can develop.

It's a sheer, buildable color, so you can go darker by using it on consecutive days. The fact that it's a mousse makes it easier to apply without streaks, but like most tanning products, there is a smell associated with it. Results last for about a week, assuming you don't reapply or use a tanning lotion to extend the tan.


Sunless Tanning Lotion
The brand also offers a Sunless Tanning Lotion, $11.69, that is designed to moisturize your skin and provide an instant tan without clogging your pores. This is not a gradual tanner, but you can build color by applying it for several days in a row. Results normally last around five days if you're not doing maintenance, and amazingly enough, there's no detectable self-tanner odor. The resulting color is a deeper brown than a lot of other products, so you may want to consider mixing it with normal lotion if you're pale or not looking for a very dark look.


Creamy Tanning Lotion
The Creamy Tanning Lotion, $6.99, is fairly similar to the Sunless Tanning Lotion, but it uses shea butter as a moisturizer. Additionally, the product is rather thick, so be ready to spend some time working it into your skin. You'll want to work quickly to get an even application.


Sunless Tanning Spray
Tanwise makes a Sunless Tanning Spray, $10.99, as well, and it comes in a 360-degree canister that works pretty much no matter what angle you're using it from. The product promises a dark and even tan that doesn't clog pores. This product isn't as well received as others because many have found that the sprayer is faulty, getting clogged or spraying unevenly, which results in an uneven and blotchy tan. If you can get it to work, it produces a great, golden color and doesn't have an unpleasant self-tanner odor.
