Easy Tricks to Recreating 2011 Golden Globe HairstylesYou ooh-ed and ahh-ed all over these winning celebrity hairstyles, now see the expert tricks to copying them |
Eva Longoria Celeb hairstylist April Webster offers her advice on how you can create this classic side-parted twist.
How-to:
Step 1: Working with clean damp hair, apply a golf ball-sized dollop of volumizing mousse like Pureology SilkBodifier, $25 through hair.
Step 2: Blow dry hair using a large round brush, lifting at the root and applying heat downwards to smooth out strands and create volume. Create a side part and sweep bangs to the side.
Step 3: When hair is completely dry, apply a pea-sized amount of shine serum like Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum, $5.03 all over and begin to smooth hair back into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck, leaving your long side bang hanging.
Step 4: Twist the ponytail tightly in a clockwise upward turn to create a French twist, pinning with bobby pins along the way. Once you reach the crown of your head, fold the ends down and tuck them into the twist. Pin to secure.
Step 5: Use a stronghold hairspray and the backside of a comb to shape hair and tame flyaways.
