Why we picked it: "The bottle is different from the usual circular shape and is simple in design," Sharon says. Adds Meghan: "The Butter London bottles are so pretty -- almost too pretty to be relegated to my old nail polish bag with all of the other plain-looking bottles. And don't be fooled by the square top. When I first saw it, I wondered if it would be awkward to hold and therefore make applying the polish more difficult. But the square top comes off completely, revealing a little round brush top that's very easy to maneuver."
Honorable mentions go to: Nars Nail Polish, $17, and CND Nail Lacquer, $9, as both impressed us with their sleek bottle design.

Should try a new soak off gel polish called NaiLuv, awesome! Long lasting, smudge and chip proof for over 1 month.

You just have to grab a real fantastic top coat and can use cheap colors. It's the top coat that really matters anyways; my favorite is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat from Sally's

i'm not sure I like essie that much. The color is not as opaque as stated in the article. I ifind that Julep does a good job as well as OPI.
