Makeup Looks That Take Less Than 4 MinutesOur editors smudged, lined, swiped and smiled to prove these six makeup looks and tips will make you look gorgeous -- in a flash |
Tester: Susan Yara, Associate Editor Time it took: 3 minutes, 40 seconds
Products used:
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, $16.50
Estee Lauder Gel Eyeliner in Black, $19.50
Napoleon Perdis Baked Powder in Peach Set, $20
Estee Lauder Lipstick in Simply Red, $17
Bourjois Paris Effet 3D Lipgloss #23, $15.50
What she thought:
Throwing on black liquid eyeliner and red lipstick is an easy way to make your look go from daytime to nighttime. I had on barely-there makeup when I started (just Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF 30, $30 and DiorShow Extase Mascara, $28), so I first added a little color to my cheeks, as well as a beige eyeshadow to my eyelids, before adding liner and lip color. The hardest part was making a straight line with the liquid liner, but I fixed the jagged line by making it a bit thicker. Next, I dabbed on some red lipstick (just to get a hint of color) and topped it with lip gloss. The finished look was elegant (yet bold enough to wear in dim lighting), and I achieved it using only a few products.

I found all of these to be very interesting. All the women were absolutely beautiful! I like how the woman on slide 11 used cheaper products to begin with. Thanks.

These were fun! Now I have some ideas for new looks I can try out with makeup I already own at home.
