Why it works: A matte skin finish coupled with strong brows and a berry lip will keep you from looking pasty, and can be quickly applied for a fashion-forward work look.
How to get it: Moisturize skin, then dust powder foundation all over your face (try Maybelline New York Dream Matte Powder, $8). Use a brow pencil that matches your brows to define your arches then line top and bottom lashes with a dark brown or black eyeliner pencil. Finish the eyes by applying multiple coats of black mascara. Complete the look by coating lips with a medium-coverage berry lipstick like Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, $14.
