7 Hairstyling Tricks Every Woman Should KnowThe expert techniques you need to get beautiful hair every time you style |
Pro tips for straightening Start by blow drying hair with a flat paddle brush, aiming the heat down the hair shaft to get your strands dry. Clip your hair up into three sections: top, middle and bottom. Then, start at the bottom and pick up a one-and-a-half-inch section of hair at a time. Starting a half inch down from your roots (this will allow your hair to keep some of its natural volume), quickly run the flat iron down the hair shaft, making sure you don't hold the iron on one section of hair for too long. Continue this process until you have straightened the bottom and middle section. For the last section on the top of your head, straighten hair starting as close to your scalp as possible to achieve a flat, smooth finish. Buckett suggests taking your time during this process because, if done properly, straightened hair can last for days.
Bonus tip: For kinkier hair textures, Dickey suggests applying a light leave-in conditioner prior to straightening so the heat burns off the conditioner instead of your hairs natural oils.

I'll definitely use the tips for cutting bangs and texturizing them. My bangs get long quickly after a haircut.

I use the blow dry your hair... Coarse or curly hair. And it really works... Especially if you can get a straightening brush... Your hair will practically straighten. Good advice here!

what was with the hair type test? according to this really nobody's hair would be thick, because who can only get the elastic around their hair only once?
