Hair oil Much like with skin care oils, the hair oil category is exploding. These multi-purpose products hydrate, smooth flyaways, and can even protect your hair from heat damage.
But forget all of that -- the number one thing I look for in a hair oil is scent, and Carol's Daughter Monoi Oil Sacred Strengthening Serum, $30, takes the top prize in my opinion. I've loved the other monoi products in the Carol's Daughter line for years, and this new hair oil is my latest obsession. Tried garnier's miracle dry oil- hated it. Now I'm using coconut oil and grapeseed oil and I love it. :)

I got samples of the Marula oil and the Clarins serum from Sephora and was extremely underwhelmed by both. The Marula oil smells terrible--like a cross between medicinal ointment and men's cologne--and did nothing for my combo dry/very oily skin. If high prices scare you I suggest going the sample route first so you can see if a product works for you before you commit to buy.

YES to monoi oil! I have Yves Rocher's monoi oil and love it. Bottle lasts *forever* bc you literally only need 2 drops! I use it on dry hair.

I thought Shu quit selling in the United States? Did they backtrack on that decision?
