Best Haircuts for Curly Hair: Beach Waves Why the cut works: Beach waves are having a major moment right now. According to Dueñas, for that just-stepped-off-the-beach look, you want a haircut that incorporates plenty of texture. This layered style, perfect for ladies with fine to medium textured hair, holds volume and texture well. Follow Dueñas's step by step to recreate the look:
Step 1: Prep damp hair with Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse, $38, and Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom, $24, for extra hold and shine. Split your hair down the middle and create two sections. Twist the two sections together, and secure.
Step 2: Let your rope braid air dry, or if you're running short on time dry your twisted hair with the Conair Infiniti Pro 3Q Brushless Motor Dryer, $99.99, for a frizz-free look. Once dry, rake the sections apart with your fingers or a wide tooth comb.
Step 3: Tousle your beach waves a bit, and you're officially a beach babe.

Most of these women don't even have curly hair...it's just wavy or has obviously been heat styled and isn't naturally curly. The cuts are good suggestions though.

Great advice. My hair's a mix of curly and wavy, as well as medium and coarse textures. It can be complicated, but once I learned how to style it, it's become my best asset!

The women in photos do not do their hair. Stylists have told me it is hard for most people to to blow dry hair to make it look great. Ones has curly hair and to do it straight takes her long time. Wonder what they look like on their days off. When their hair is not professionally styled.

I love AnnaLynne McCord's hair. I have curly/wavy hair and my hair is in layers. It gives volume and it's more manageable
