Should You Get the Brazilian Blowout? See One Reader's Hair Care ExperienceCheck out the transformation that takes place when a curly-haired TotalBeauty.com reader tries the treatment |
The Post Application Blow Out With the product firmly sealed into the cuticle, it was time to rinse her hair and dry it again.
"I LOVED the second blowout," Courtney exclaims, "even before [Chase] did any roller brushing or flat ironing, my hair was smooth and silky and looked amazing from just a quick blast with the dryer!"
Chase, who was super-pleased with his client's reaction, explained that the best way to extend the 12-week life of the Brazilian Blowout is to use the brand's four after-care products; Brazilian Blowout Acai Anti-Frizz Shampoo, $30, Brazilian Blowout Acai Conditioner, $36, Brazilian Acai Smoothing Serum, $38 and Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque, $40. "They help re-deposit the amino acids back on to the hair," he reasoned, "and, with proper after care, results can last as long as six months."
"Joseph was very generous and gave me [the after care products] to use," Courtney says. They smell great, make my hair feel wonderful and have lasted a long time -- I'd definitely buy them again."

Her hair looks the same...just styled. However it sounds like she had a great experience. Maybe her hair feels better to her. I would definitely like to try a BB.

Her "before" hair is fine. It's a haircut she needs, not a blowout

I agree with LittleBunny---her hair looked good before! Looks better now, but not a huge difference.

the chemicals in the wanna bes are horrible for both the stylist and the customer... be very careful as you choose

The REAL Brazilian Blowout is amazing. My hair is, well, just think Beyonce on a bad hair day. BB doesn't have formaldehyde; the imitations (Brazilian Keratin Treatments) do. The real one is a branded product, (like Coke vs. cola), it's safe and more effective.
