Stocking Stuffers They'll Actually Be Excited AboutYou don't want to blow your whole gift budget on stuffing a sock, but with these gift ideas you can still wow 'em before the main event |
Even though the youngest member of my family is a freshman in college, my mother still insists that "Santa" is responsible for the contents of our stockings. And it would seem that the jolly old man has a penchant for tacky holiday-themed socks, '80s-era scrunchies, and packs of Juicy Fruit.
It's a shame, really, since there's no shortage of adorable, stocking-sized goodies out there that would be much more warmly received.

If you're playing Santa for your family, or just want to pass along some friendly hints, check out this guide of cool drugstore stocking stuffers. All of them meet my strict criteria for a quality stocking stuffer:
1. It has to be something the recipient would actually use after Christmas.
2. It needs to feel like a splurge or treat (no toothbrushes or combs).
3. It's got to be cheap, because no matter how impressive a stocking stuffer is, it tends to get lost in the shuffle of the real gift unwrapping session that follows.
So, why not step up your stocking game this year? You can snatch up these gifts at your local drugstore, Target, or Ulta.
Here's hoping my mom is still reading my stories ...
