9 Ways to Change Your Hairstyle for FallWhether you're looking for a major hair overhaul or just a minor tweak to keep 'em guessing, you'll find it among these fall 2011 hair trends |
Your fall color: If you want a minor change Try: A clear gloss or ombre hair color
If you're not into hair color, or have no desire to switch up your current shade, try a clear gloss this fall. You can DIY at home with a box gloss, or get it done at the salon. Wright recommends Clairol Jazzing Clear Shine, $6.49. It "is affordable and perfect for adding radiance to your hair and a vibrancy to its color," says Wright. Basically, a clear gloss will add tons of shine to your hair (like Jordana Brewster's shown here), without changing the color, so you won't have to worry about roots showing or color fading.
If you have highlights in your hair, whether they're salon- or sun-made, and are feeling a bit lazy this season, the ombre trend (dark roots transitioning to lighter ends, like Olivia Wilde's hair) is perfect for you. You can just let your roots grow out, no coloring necessary. Wright points out that this trend is "cost-effective and less harsh on your hair." And it's still going to be hugely popular for fall.

Braids are a major change? Really? I like the color change recommendations, though! I'm a natural redhead but thinking strongly of going for a darker red for fall...
