Hitting a Rough Patch (Literally)? 5 Best Cures for Bumpy SpotsSmooth arms? Sure. Legs? Check. But what about every last inch of your body? Ward off bumpy rough patches with our cures |
Elbows Why is it that even if you have perfectly soft skin all over, your elbows still manage to feel like an elephant's back? The key is to use a really heavy-duty moisturizer like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant. This stuff's street name should be "Vaseline on Steroids." It's made for use all over your body, but it works best on your dry elbows. For extra-soft effects, use right after you hop out of the shower, when your skin's still damp. The lotion traps the moisture, amping up the hydrating effects.
A quick and easy tip: If you work in front of a computer all day, you're probably resting your elbows on a hard surface for hours. It may sound simple, but always keep a cardigan on hand to give your bare elbows a break.

My husband gets dry patches around his ears and under his wedding band--thanks for addressing these! I LOVE Elizabeth Arden's "Eight Hour Cream." I also love O'Keeffe's "Working Hands" for transforming the most rough skin into silk!

The Baby Foot Exfoliate looks kind of interesting... but does it mean my feet would be peeling inside my shoes for up to a week???

I don't dry skin in many places...except behind my ears! It's just tough to moisturize too heavily there because I don't want my hair to get greasy. Glad to know I'm not the only one though.

And I always thought I was a pro at dry skin after living with it all my life. I never would have thought behind my ears was a dry spot to look out for. Great info:)
