Rosebud Perfume Company Possibly one of the oldest American beauty brands to date, Rosebud Perfume Company began in the quaint town of Woodsboro, Maryland, in 1895. Pharmacist George F. Smith created Smith's Rosebud Salve, $6, to soothe minor cuts and cracked lips.
The cult classic is still the company's best-seller, and is also available in strawberry, brambleberry, minted rose, mocha rose and rose/mandarin.
