8 March Beauty Buys You Have to OwnForget the holidays -- this is the most wonderful time of the year. Here's why |
Benefit Fake Up, $24 Most of us are old pals with Benefit's fantastic concealers: Erase Paste and Boi-ing. Well, now the brand is adding another under-eye brighter to their super-popular arsenal. Meet Fake Up, the new concealer and moisturizer combo. It feels weightless and goes on so silky, you'll barely need to blend. Plus, it's got vitamin E and Appleseed extract, which means it works like an under eye cream, minimizing those puffy bags. I've been stashing the lipstick shaped tube in my purse to perk up my face for after-work happy hours.

I LOVE Jo Malone and Shu Uemura - I always wish I could buy more of it...but the prices are pretty steep. Jo Malone lasts and they create such signature scents....if you haven't try them you should.

Been eyeing the tinted moisturizer might give it a try though I have had no problems with BB creams.

I just recently bought the Mad Men See-Thru blush. The packaging is GORGEOUS. The color is somewhat sheer but still lovely.

These are nice products but nothing that really grabs me. Im not a collector of the mad Man stuff and I wont shell out big for cleansers, save that for the stuff that stays on the skin. Also I do not like the products that combine SPF as I prefer to do that separately so I can control the amount used. Clarins had an awesome new one that feels so light SPF 40 just bought it. If using products with sunscreen how will you get enough to do the job, Most people don't use the recommended amount of a couple of tablespoons for the body and I wouldn't want to be adding makeup just to get the SPF right. I was shown how much is needed on the face and if you used that much foundation it would be ridiculous. Given that it is #1 in skincare leave it out of the makeup and apply properly for adequate coverage! Benefit has a lot of great products they are hit and miss. I have never had any success with concealers too thick of a formula. I do love their boxed powders and want to try the new face product that is three colours, I hear its great for fair skin and quick easy.

I wonder what the difference is between the DHC Olive Oil Cleasing oil and the $90 Shu Uemura. I was reading on both the sites and they both seem to be about the same kind of remover. However, a price difference of $30 -$40. Are they the same? I like the DHC for waterproof mascara, it removes all of the mascara and other makeup. I think it's a mental thing, but even if I use it all over my face, I still find myself using a cleanser to feel clean.

Great recommendations although most are out of my budget.
