The Dos and Don'ts of At-Home Waxing

You must read this waxing guide before attempting anything from a DIY Brazilian Wax to leg waxing, or waxing your eyebrows at home

At-Home Waxing Don't: Wax Hair That's Too Short or Too Long For ideal bikini or leg waxing conditions, hair should be between 1/4 inch and 3/4 inch long. Any shorter and the wax won't be able to adhere well enough — which will be especially painful if you're attempting a tricky Brazilian wax at home (more on those later). If your hair is longer, try trimming it with safety scissors beforehand to make the waxing much less painful and efficient.

I learned a few new tips for whenever I use my at home wax kit. It's a Gigi and it's amazing!! And yes, letting professionals do the brazilian for you is way easier!

Great article with some very good tips, if you're face is really red afterwards, I always hold ice or a cold compress. Also because it gets REALLY hot where I live, I've noticed it's better to wax at night because your skin has several hours to recover, without makeup or sunscreen, both of which can irritate freshly waxed skin.
