14 Best Drugstore ConditionersHair care giant Pantene was all over the list, but did it nab the no. 1 spot? |
No. 3: Herbal Essences Hydralicious Reconditioning Conditioner, $3.99 TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 9.3*
Why it's great: "When I looked at the price tag, all I could think was 'No way am I going to get as much bang as they claim for my buck.' But when I used it, I couldn't believe how amazing my hair felt. I color my hair a lot -- bleached one week, black the next -- and it's been feeling a little bit like straw lately. But after using this conditioner, my hair felt amazing," says a reader. Others concur saying, "This is thick, creamy and hydrating, but not goopy or sloppy or too heavy (for my hair; I have very dry, very thick hair). I like the consistency and texture so much I have started using this in place of my weekly moisturizing mask!" One reader sums it up: "this conditioner makes my hair look and feel silky, soft and shiny. I have tried many expensive hydrating conditioners and none work as well as this."

Not a huge fan of the Triple Moisture from Neutrogena. Maybe I have contrary hair, but I love L'Oreal Total Repair 5.

I disagree,Sunsilk has been discontinued for years. I used to use the thermasilk line good stuff. I do not know why they discontinue.

I am very hesitant to buy any drugstore cosmetics and/or hair care products.

I haven't tried any of these. Might want to try the Neutrogena one.

I like several of Pantene's conditioners, but I'm not a fan of their shampoos.
