No. 1: TreSemme Vitamin B12 & Gelatin Anti-Breakage Shampoo, $5.19 TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 5.2*
Why: This left one reader perplexed: "You'd think that a product that's supposed to inhibit breakage would help moisturize hair, but this really didn't at all." She adds, the product "actually seemed to dry my hair out even more." Other readers didn't like that "it left my hair feeling waxy (from the gelatin in it) and dry."

I've never used that particular Head and Shoulders, but I use the Dry Scalp care shampoo regularly and have had none of these problems.

Burt's Bees having horrible shampoo seems to be a theme here...

Amen to the horribleness of the Burt's Bees More Moisture Raspberry and Brazil Nut shampoo. I usually love Burt's Bees products, but this shampoo was the worst I have ever used. My hair was a rat's nest disaster and it felt awful.

I dont think I will ever give up using my salon Aveda hair products. They area little pricey but in the long run buying large size and knowing it WORKS it really isnt that expensive. I love al their products but restrict myself to hair only, for over 20 years. Anytime I stopped using it I regret it and always come back to it, no more of that for me

Good to have a heads up on what not to buy. I'm loving Aussie cleanse and mend shampoo.
