12 Worst HairspraysUnless you want hair that's crispy, greasy or frizzy, stay far away from these hair care products |
No. 6: Nexxus Heat Protexx Heat Protection Styling Spray, $12.99 TotalBeauty.com average member rating: 6.4*
Why: One user warns: "Only use if you'll be shampooing soon! That should be the warning on the bottle, because this smelly spray made my hair dirty and dull! I had bigger hopes for this product, since the shampoo and conditioner smell good and do a decent job. After using this product, I was surprised it was made by Nexxus. A cheap mousse would have worked and smelled better than this!" Another woman calls this "mediocre" and one reader elaborates by saying, "I used this protecting spray for a few weeks and basically saw no results. My hair didn't feel especially damaged from heat when I used it, but it didn't feel soft or silky either. It actually left my hair feeling a bit tacky, so I'd recommend a light touch. This might work for someone with really healthy fine hair, but for my thick, coarse hair, I need more conditioning in a heat protector."

I am really shocked because the John Frieda Frizz Ease works wonders in my naturally wavy hair. I spray it all over my hair while it's still damp, clip it up, and when i take it out it's just curls and waves. But I'm sorry others don't like it!
