7 Genius Hacks for Removing the Most Stubborn MakeupGlitter nail polish. Eyelash extensions. Waterproof mascara. All fun to wear -- all a nightmare to take off. Here's how to remove makeup and other beauty treatments that are notoriously a pain in the you-know-where to remove |
How to Remove Sunscreen While sunscreen isn't makeup it is a staple in many a woman's beauty routine -- and waterproof formulas are especially difficult to remove. Though a long-lasting formula is great in terms of sun protection, a sunscreen that stubbornly adheres to skin long after sunset can cause major breakouts. That's because sunscreen has the potential to create a film on the surface of the skin that attracts dirt and oil, and makes for the perfect, pimple-causing storm.
When attempting to remove sunscreen, a traditional face wash won't break down this blemish-friendly barrier. Instead, embrace double-cleansing to break down stubborn ingredients commonly found in sunscreens like titanium dioxide.
Step 1: Massage an oil cleanser like Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil, $42, on a dry face.
Step 2: Remove the oil with a wet wash cloth.
Step 3: Follow up with a traditional face wash that's formulated for your skin type. We love Cosmedicine Healthy Cleanse One-Step Perfected Face Wash, $45, which removes even the most stubborn sunscreen.

Great tips! Waterproof mascara is such a pain! And I hate paying the fee just to get my Shellac removed in the salon. And I'm about to get eyelash extensions, so I'm glad I read this first!

cold cream, even from the dollar store, removes all eye makeup including WP, in a flash AND moisturizes. A winner.

Ick, I hate cold cream! After using it, I needed to wash my face multiple times to get all of THAT stuff off. I haven't tried the glitter nail polish trick but I need to.
