8 High-End Hair Products Worth Every PennyWe won't shell out our cash for just anything our stylists try to talk us into buying -- but we're beyond obsessed with these shampoos, frizz fighters, and more |
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo, $19 and Conditioner, $22 The claim: This sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner gently cleanse without stripping color and hydrate hair with botanicals like peppermint, sage, and rosemary.
Why we're obsessed: "I have long, thick hair, and I always worry that it's about to dry out," says Associate Editor Alexis Finc. "But once the shampoo hits my hair, it instantly rejuvenates everything, from my scalp to my ends. Plus, it smells so good -- it's this wonderful minty blend that makes my scalp tingle. The conditioner does the same, and after a blow dry, my hair feels soft, smells delicious, and doesn't look dull."

I like these choices, especially the Moroccan oil and Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree.

I have been very disappointed in all of the Living Proof products. I couldn't wait for them to come out, and since the it has simply been one hair disaster after another.

I am heavily colored and bleached yet my hair is silky and healthy (washed and blow dried daily, mid-back length). My HGs are Biolage Hydrating Shampoo, Biolage Conditioning Balm, BioSilk Silk Therapy, Pureology Root Lift, then finish with Matrix Vavoom Freezing Spray (which is only stiff if applied heavily). Find what works for YOU!!!
