Lavender lips Spring is always a great time to try a bright lip, and there will be plenty of women wearing corals and pinks, says MAC Cosmetics Senior Artist Christopher Del Castillo. But he suggests going a slightly different route and trying a lavender lip.
"Lavender in general, on eyes and lips, can be worn by anyone, even on women with skin tones who wouldn't normally use it," he says. "It's sort of one of those overlooked colors when it comes to neutrals."
If you have fairer skin, Del Castillo suggests starting with a neutral lipliner (close to your natural lip shade) and then layering a lavender lipstick on top, like MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2 Lipstick, $15. "It makes it look a littler cooler -- more plum-like and wearable," he says.
If you have a darker skin tone, start with a magenta or plum lipliner before applying lavender lipstick for a bolder look, Del Castillo says.
I want to see more of the lavender lips...and I am SO over the bangs fad. I think that if your name is not Zoey Deschanel, stay FAR away from straight cut bangs, because she is pretty much the only human being alive who can pull them off properly.
Fun, fresh list! I already have red hair, but I have been dying to play with the color a little. Lighter shades don't work with my coloring, but I may try some highlights or go with a darker auburn shade (yes, for spring--who cares?).

Not really interested in many of these styles. Though, I liked the red hair. And I wish I could get a more contoured look.

Not so much on any of the looks described here, except flawless skin. Too bad there were no product suggestions.

I'm inspired to work on the flawless, contoured skin. And I'm tempted to try lavender lipstick...

The lavender lips is almost as bad as the orange ones. I am really into the bold eyeshadows and think contouring is a must, not really a trend.

Not fond of lavender lips but I love red hair. The flawless skin tips this year have helped in making me appear younger.
