3-Product Makeup ChallengeWe challenged four women to create as many makeup looks as possible using only three products -- see how they did |
Amber: Look 1 "I'm excited about this dare, but definitely a bit nervous as well. I wear pretty much the EXACT same products, the EXACT same way -- every day. Being pushed out of my comfort zone is going to be quite challenging for me," says Amber who normally uses about eight makeup products a day.
Products used:
Tarte Natural Lip Stain LipSurgence Techonology in Exposed, $24
MAC Greasepaint Stick in French Quarter, $17.50
NYX Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment in Oro, $6
How she used them: "I applied the LipSurgence on my lips and to the apples of my cheeks, then used the NYX [shadow] as bronzer on my cheekbones, forehead and bridge of my nose. Last, I put the Greasepaint along both my top and bottom lashlines," says Amber.
What she thought:
"The LipSurgence is a great color, but I wish it had more shine for my lips and less for my cheeks. I have fairly oily skin, so using a creamy blush isn't the best option for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Greasepaint! It goes on super smoothly, no tugging and the color is awesome. Smudges really nicely, too. The NYX has a little too much shimmer for my liking (when used as a bronzer). I'm pretty sure someone in my age bracket shouldn't be sparkling this much during daylight hours! I do, however, love the color and am looking forward to using it on my eyes."

I can do this easy. All over color, liner, and mascara.

Nice. I always carry only minimal makeup that give a natural as well as glowing look.

Fun! That pink/orange/red look on the eye doesn't work for me.

Great advice and challenge, but the lipstick (red and orange) as eyeshadow has to go----it makes the ladies look like their lids are bruised.
