3-Product Makeup ChallengeWe challenged four women to create as many makeup looks as possible using only three products -- see how they did |
Jane: Look 1 At first I was really hesitant to do this challenge because I am not the most creative person when it comes to makeup. I like keeping things simple and natural, and I get slightly terrified when I'm forced to think outside the box. So when picking my three products, I went for three totally different shades so it would be easier to mix and match.
Products used:
Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick in Copperglaze Sienna, $8.99
NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Red Cheeks, $6.50
Clinique Colour Surge Super Shimmer Eye Shadow in Black Amythest, $14
How she used them:
"Today I applied the gold lipstick on my eyes as a cream shadow. Then I used the red cream blush on my cheeks. To finish the look I quickly swiped my lips with the gold lipstick."
What she thought:
"This look was ... interesting, to say the least. I know tons of models did this at Fashion Week this year, so I wanted to try it out. I liked the way the gold looked on my eyes, but it felt really weird. My eyeshadow usually creases really easily, so it melted off even faster with the lipstick. I think I might just buy a gold cream shadow to avoid this problem because I loved the color. As for the blush, I was afraid it would be too bright, but it blended really well -- phew!"

I can do this easy. All over color, liner, and mascara.

Nice. I always carry only minimal makeup that give a natural as well as glowing look.

Fun! That pink/orange/red look on the eye doesn't work for me.

Great advice and challenge, but the lipstick (red and orange) as eyeshadow has to go----it makes the ladies look like their lids are bruised.
