One Year Before Your Wedding: Tackle Teeth Imperfections Chances are you won't be able to stop beaming on the big day -- so you want to make sure your smile looks as amazing as you feel. Consult with a cosmetic dentist with as much lead time as possible if you have would like to fix chips or crooked teeth, says Golub-Evans. "Straighter teeth can be achieved several ways, the time frame ranging from two weeks up to two years. A bride's treatment plan depends on a variety of factors -- how straight the teeth currently are, if there are any spaces, etc.," he says. So the minute that rock lands on your finger, your dentist should be the first call you make (well, after you tell your parents and friends, of course).

Be careful about SPF in makeup though--some kinds can give your face a whitish cast in photographs.
