No. 1: Rimmel London Colour Rush Duo Eyeshadow, $4.29 TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 3.1*
Why: One woman promises, "I will never, ever, ever buy Rimmel ever again. [This product] was making my eyelid itch and my eye swell up. It was so embarrassing [that] I had to go to work looking like that. Something is terribly wrong with their formula." One person says, "I wanted to try some new colors, but didn't want to pay over $10 or drive all the way to Sephora, so I bought this product. I found it to be chalky and difficult to apply, and almost impossible to blend. My search for a good inexpensive eyeshadow continues." Another woman agrees saying they have "pretty colors in the package, but when applied, the color seems to crumble and definitely didn't have any staying power. Even for the low price, it's still not worth it."

i agree with most of these. i tried maybelliene (spelling?) when i was in high school cuz it was cheap n there was no color whatsoever. since that horrible experience, i have never bought their eye shadow ever since. i bought vincent longo's "dawn flesh" a few years ago, n it's my go-to eye shadow whenever i want to highlight my eyes n want the shimmer and color to last all day.

I agree with pretty much all of these, having tried most of them, but I too was a bit shocked as I had found the CoverGirl one to be bad as they normally have really good quality products! But I do agree with all the ones I have tried from that list!!

I normally really like CoverGirl so really surprised to see them listed but glad to know to stay away from it now. Had planned on getting it to try out

Well, I can add CALVIN KLEIN - Eye Color Tempting Glimmer Sheer Creme EyeShadow to this list - tried today. It is nice, it covers nice, but the creasing is worse than any cheapest eyeshadow I tried, even using it with eyeshadow base...

I'm so glad I didn't waste my money on the Cover Girl smokey eye stick, it seems like a great idea but all I pictured was it breaking on 1st application and after reading this it seems I wasn't wrong!
