"It's a soft, romantic take on the pastel trend that is fun for spring," says Stephanie Brown, a celebrity hairstylist for IGK Salons. "Just make sure your stylist is an expert in platinum hair before you go in to try to get this done."
Since these hues are so pale, Brown says they can be a bit tricky to maintain at home. Your best bet is to employ special shampoos and conditioners to help prolong the color.
"I like Bleach London and Overtone, and Muvo makes a pretty pink," says Brown. "To make sure that the color comes out pale, mix these shampoos with a plain shampoo or conditioner so they don't come out too vibrant."
