We first started seeing hand art becoming mainstream at New York Fashion Week Spring 2018. Models graced the runways at Jeremy Scott rocking glitter hands created by NYC nail artist Miss Pop. The bold look easily complemented Scott's bold designs. Models' nails were painted in a variety of electric neon shades while hands were bedecked with silver glitter (shown here).
Since then, we've seen Miss Pop and other artists like Nail Unistella and Jessica Washick taking nail art to new levels by extending it to the fingers and beyond. The looks can include various gemstones and rhinestones glued all over the hands to strategically placed jewelry on the fingers and nails themselves.
Hand art looks amazing on clear shiny nails, bold solid colors and geometric cutouts. However, the sky's the limit when it comes to creativity. Think you've got what it takes to rock some hand art? Grab some crystals or glitter and a little eyelash glue and read on — we guarantee you're going to be inspired.
