A Mask That Will Actually Cool Your Skin I'm one of those people who gets overheated very easily; consequently, August is my least favorite month of the year. The problem is at its worst when I come back from a run in the morning: My skin is so red and irritated, it takes hours for it to calm down. However, if I slap on the Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Masque, $55, my face goes back to normal in a matter of minutes. It contains calming cucumber, thyme and olive, plus a special dipeptide that reduces heat sensitivity. It's a delightfully cold gel, and you can rinse it off or leave it on. I even like to wear it under makeup.
