Orange may be the new black, but when it comes to lipstick, we can make a pretty good argument that purple is the new red. This cool hue has already become the reigning "it" hair color, and as celebs like Aishwarya Rai, Lupita Nyong'o and Solange have shown us, a purple pout looks pretty damn good too. To prove it, we swatched (and photographed) all of the hottest purple lipsticks -- from ladylike lavenders to vampy violets, and all the grapes, eggplants and plums in between -- so you can pin down your signature purple shade.
