One of my colleagues here at TotalBeauty.com, Kerstin, recently completed a half-marathon (congratulations Kerstin! See her finish photo above) and because she's such a dedicated runner and a naturally gorgeous woman, I had to know what products she uses before a race and in general. She's 40 but doesn't look a day over 30. Maybe it's all of the exercise and the fact that she eats a lot of vegetables and takes vitamins, but I think it also has to do with her beauty regime.

She has a little secret I think we should all try. She applies pure aloe vera gel to her face and body every morning and night. Her product of choice is Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gel Inner Fillet (available at most health food stores). She's been doing this for years, but she highly recommends topping it with a face lotion and body lotion. Her favorites are: L'Oreal Paris Skin Genesis Daily Moisturizer and Healing Garden All Day Moisture Body Lotion in White Tea or Orange Mandarin. She swears by this combination and the products never feel heavy, even when she's running in the most extreme of temperatures.
