Be a Picture-Perfect Bride (or Bridesmaid) with these Makeup Tips

If you're getting married, you have enough to stress about between the food, flowers and you're nagging future in-laws. That's why we wanted to share these tips for perfect wedding-day makeup, so at least there will be one item on your to-do list that doesn't raise your blood pressure when you think about it:
1. Whether you're doing your makeup yourself or hiring a makeup artist, remember to strike a balance between natural and photo-ready makeup. Keep these tips in mind to look your best in photos:
Use oil-blotting sheets to cut down on shine (don't want the flash bouncing off your forehead, right?). Have a bridesmaid carry them around so you all can touch up before photos.
Go light on the concealer, too much will look cakey in pictures.
Use a foundation that's a tiny bit darker than your natural skin tone (but be sure to blend well!), this will help you from looking too pale or washed out in pictures.
2. Although this is a special occasion, you still want to look like yourself (just the best possible version!). So if you don't normally wear red lipstick or tons of eyeliner, don't wear it on your wedding day. After all, you want to feel comfortable -- and you want the groom to be able to recognize you!
3. Always do a trial run (either with yourself or your makeup artist) before the big day. It'll help you figure out exactly what you want, and determine how much time it'll take to get your look.
4. Use primer. You'll want your makeup to last from the walk down the aisle to the final farewell and a good primer can help with that. Find the best one for you here.
5. Go waterproof! Odds are you'll shed a tear or two, which is fine as long as you don't have black streaks running down your face. Go easy on the eye makeup and be sure to use a waterproof mascara (our readers love these ones).
6. Don't forget your bridesmaids! You'll want these ladies to look their best too, so go over their looks for the day together. That way you can prevent any makeup disasters (like these.) Try having them show you celebrity makeup looks for you to pre-approve.
7. And speaking of bridesmaids, nominate one of them to carry around a makeup touch-up bag for the day. Include those oil-blotting sheets mentioned above (these ones are good), your lip color and blush for touch up, plus makeup remover and q-tips in case of smudges.
