  • Crazy Makeup Looks to Try Before You Die

  • Brring. Brring. Brring.

  • You: Hello?

  • Deep raspy male voice: You're going to DIE!

  • OK, unless you were just watching an unmarked VHS of some total creeper girl crawling out of a well, then you shouldn't be immediately alarmed by what just happened. P.S. Is it Halloween yet? I know. I'm jumping the gun. It's just all this "It's Fall now" talk has me excited.

  • All horror film references aside, we do have to live life to the fullest seeing as though our days our numbered (though we often seem to forget this). To me, this means I have to try everything (within reason, people) at least once. Which brings me to my beauty "Bucket List": the daring haircuts to try before I die and makeup looks I have to rock at least once.

  • Here are some of the looks I am going to try before "D" day:

  • Glam Goth

  • #

  • The dark lips and super pale, matte skin is in, thanks to the "Twilight"-and-"True Blood"-fueled "undead" craze. And while I think it's definitely worth trying to look dead at least once before you, well, actually die, I like Evan Rachel Wood's glamorous take on it best. The warm brown eye shadow and semi-matte, blood red lipstick make her look just a tad less scary than a real vampire … not that I've ever seen one.

  • Clockwork Orange Lashes

  • #

  • From Jennifer Lopez to Rihanna, big, feathery lashes are a fun way to add some "edge" to any sane makeup look, especially when worn on the bottom lash line. Perhaps the craziest pair of falsies I found was on model Agyness Deyn, who's as famous for her changing hair color and style, as she is for her ability to look stunning in any makeup look -- no matter how off the wall.

  • Electric Eyes

  • #

  • Rihanna is such a trendsetter. I love her ability to wear practically any bright liner shade, like these electric blue and purple ones. And with the right attitude (that would be "fierce"), a woman of any age can pull this off (I've even seen the purple version look good on someone's grandma!). Just make sure you use a highly-pigmented cream liner like Barbie Loves Stila Smudge Pot, $20. If you have problems with smudging, set your lid with translucent powder or an eyeshadow primer first.

  • Bold Brows

  • #

  • We saw heavy brows all over the fall runways (most of which were obscenely aggressive), but Camilla Belle's noticeably bold version is more fitting for all seasons. While growing in "real" thick brows is a necessary evil, getting them shaped and filling them in with eyeshadow will frame your eyes beautifully and add more character to your face (if you need it). (Try Ardell Brow Defining Powder, $3.99.)

  • Snow White Pin-Up

  • #

  • Often admired, but rarely duplicated off the red carpet (costume parties being the exception), this not-so-normal look is admired by many. While fair skin and dark hair are key to getting Dita Von Teese's "Snow White" appeal, they're not entirely necessary for the "Pin-Up Girl" part. Just make sure your complexion is as smooth as possible, and follow these pin-up girl makeup steps. You can even use eyeliner to dot on a faux beauty mark. (Don't worry if everyone knows it's fake; both Dior and Rihanna got away with it!)

    Your Comment:

    • Some of those are definitely weekend-wearable but some are definitely harder to pull off. The pin-up girl look is so pretty, but doesn't work well with my features or skintone. :(
