At the Maybelline New York Great Lash Mascara Bar, top, which recently traveled from Las Vegas to Los Angeles giving out mascara and lash makeovers, I had the great fortune of talking with Maybelline National Makeup Artist (and total sweetheart) Chuck Hezekiah, above right. He shared great tips on how to get perfect lashes with almost any mascara.

Since it was a Maybelline New York event, I tried his tips with the controversial Great Lash Washable Mascara and I have to say, I was quite pleased with my results. (But just to let you know where I stand, I appear to be a pretty big Maybelline New York fan: Great Lash, The Colossal Volum' Express and Intense XXL Volume & Length Waterproof Microber Mascara are all on heavy rotation in my makeup bag.)
