My First Foray into Highlights

I got highlights for the first time. As you may have read in my previous blog, until then I was a hair-color virgin. This sparked a bit of excitement at the Nelson J salon where I went (the owner, Nelson Chan, is on our expert panel). It seems colorists love a first-timer, and after a quick joke about bright red streaks (ahh!), Nelson set to work using two shades slightly lighter than my natural color.
You can see the results above. I'm pretty happy with it, although to be fair I wasn't really unhappy with my color before. What do you think of it? Better than before?
