Now that regular TV is back in business (yay, writers!), I can return to watching actual shows instead of the reality TV. But one thing that bothers me in a lot of TV shows and movies is the unrealistic use of makeup. The worst is when an actress lies in bed at night or wakes up in the morning with a face full of makeup. It just doesn't happen. Real girls wash their faces before bed. Even if they didn't, it wouldn't look that perfect upon waking.

One show I will give props to for their realistic use of makeup is "Lost." I'm impressed that the women on the show don't look like they're wearing makeup. I'm sure they are, but the effect is perfect for a character who's stranded on an island and has bigger worries than mascara.
