I was stoked to run into the beautiful Lindsay Price (from "Lipstick Jungle") last night at Dylan’s Candy bar in NYC. Let me just report that Lindsay is even more stunning in person. I couldn't stop admiring her luminous skin.

She spilled her secrets on savvy cost-cutting techniques when it comes to the urge to splurge. Because we know that even in hard economic times (like these), women won't sacrifice everyday luxuries.

Here's her tips for saving greenbacks on:

- Accessories. Check out vintage shops and flea markets for cool pieces at great prices.

- Scent. High-quality fragrance doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. For example Degree Women (yes, the deodorant makers!) now offers fine fragrance body mists with matching anti-perspirants. They smell dreamy and only cost $4.99! Lindsay’s fave is the Sexy Intrigue -- it has vanilla. Yum!

- Makeup. Splurge on key items like foundation (there's that glowing skin), good brushes, and eye shadows. Save on mascara and lip gloss which are used frequently and need to be replaced more often.

- Your overall style. You can find a variety of sample sale Web sites now that offer major savings on luxury brand clothing lines, so you can look like a million bucks without spending top dollar. In fact, Lindsay proudly shared that her shoes were, "half-price Fendi!"
